Frequently Asked Questions

  • Absolutely! We follow ALL local and state health codes to make sure every client has a safe and comfortable experience. We encourage all of our clients to ask these questions when visiting any shop in California!

  • At Windflower Piercing Studio, we use nothing but high quality, implant grade titanium and 14kt gold jewelry. These metals are easily accepted by the body which speeds up healing time and helps prevent infections. We strongly recommend all of our clients do their research on the jewelry they use for their piercings. Using low grade jewelry can cause infection, allergic reactions and often times they can permanently damage or stain the surrounding skin.

  • Currently, we are operating by appointment only. Appointments can be made here.

  • We do not pierce infants.

  • We kindly ask you visit our studio without children or anybody under 18 not receiving a service. We want to maintain a quiet environment to respect the other artists providing services in the studio.

  • All items are shipped out next business day through USPS. Once shipped, please allow 3-5 business days to receive your package.

  • We are a small business with just one piercer so there is limited availability throughout the day. Appointments may be unavailable or we are closed on the day you have selected.

  • Everybody has different anatomy and that means some piercings don’t work on certain people. Navel piercings and certain ear piercings require specific anatomy in order to heal correctly. If you have any questions about the area you are trying to get pierced please reach out through text at (909)529-2013.

  • Each piercing starts at a different rate. This price includes the needle service and high quality titanium jewelry. You can check out some our pricing here.

  • We accept all government issued, non-expired photo IDs. Anybody under the age of 18 must bring their birth certificate with a school ID (with photo) and must be accompanied by a parent. We understand there are endless circumstances when it comes to identification so if you have any questions about what we accept please send us a text at (909)529-2013.

  • In order to better assist our clients and help ensure the best outcome for your piercing, we cannot install any outside jewelry into a fresh piercing.

  • We allow one additional person in the piercing area for support. Please be mindful of the other artists in the studio and please keep noise to a minimum.

  • After about 4 weeks you should be able to install a smaller post. If you feel like you will have issues changing it yourself you can always come in to downsize the post with us.

  • We recommend avoiding submerging your fresh piercing in pools, lakes, and ocean water for at least 3-4 weeks. Even though the water may look clean there is microscopic bacteria that can cause infection and extend healing times.

  • We recommend flushing your piercing with Neilmed Piercing Aftercare twice a day for 4-5 weeks. If there is still a lot of discomfort after that please feel free to come in to the studio so we can check it out!

  • Each piercing is expected to heal differently. Some piercings like lip and tongue piercings might swell a little bit more than others and might take longer to heal. Most piercings take about 6 months to fully heal, until then you will need to keep jewelry in the area to keep it from closing.

  • Initially, you may experience swelling, bleeding, and tenderness in the area. This typically subsides within a week or two. If you are experiencing major discomfort after 2-3 weeks please come in to the studio so we can check it out.

  • If you have any other questions not listed here please send us a text at (909)529-2013 or email us at Support@WindflowerPiercing.com
